Jeffrey A. Barnhill
President
President and chief financial officer directs the financial operations and reporting, and is instrumental in the acquisition analysis and consummations for JBF Healthcare Management Inc. and Affiliates. Jeff has worked in a number of capacities in the healthcare industry since 1979, serving at various times as a controller, reimbursement director, consultant and chief financial officer at acute care, skilled nursing, and other long-term-care providers. Most recently, from 2006, Jeff served as executive vice president and CFO of ASLC and directed the financial operations and reporting, and was instrumental in the acquisition analysis, consummations, and sale/leaseback of ASLC Rhode Island.

Jeff received a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., in 1979 and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in 1984. He has also been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and American Health Lawyers Association since 1979.

James V. Flanagan
Senior Advisor
President and chief executive directs the operations of JBF Healthcare Management Inc. and Affiliates. Jim is a lifelong Rhode Island resident with over 30 years of experience developing and operating senior housing communities. Most recently, Jim served as executive vice president and chief executive of operations for all ASLC entities, and before that, as executive vice president of Horizon Bay senior communities in Rhode Island. Jim is a past president of the Rhode Island Health Care Association and the Rhode Island Assisted Living Association.

Jim now serves as chairman of the Board of Examiners for Assisted Living Administrators as well as a past member of the Rhode Island Long Term Care Coordinating Council. Jim has been awarded many accolades for his years of commitment and dedication to the long-term-care industry throughout Rhode Island.

Linda Wheeler Omiunu
Vice President of Operations
Linda began her career in long-term care many years ago and has experience in both nursing and administrative duties. Linda was an LPN who became and RN in 1990. Since then, she completed a bachelor’s degree at Rhode Island College. She has certification as an assisted living administrator as well as a nursing home administrator.

As a nurse, Linda was charge nurse, a supervisor and a director of nursing. She held the title of corporate director of nursing and marketing for a two-year period in which she was responsible for oversight and management of more than 1,000 nursing home beds. In 1999, Linda was named the nurse of the year.

As an administrator, Linda has been the leader of teams in both assisted living and nursing facilities — she is responsible for all aspects of operations. In 2013, Linda was named by the Alliance for Better Long Term Care as the recipient of the outstanding contribution award. In 2014, Linda was the Eli Pick award recipient as the administrator of the year.

Linda holds certifications in wound care, Alzheimer’s care and case management. She is a board member for the Rhode Island Healthcare Association as well as a member of the Long Term Care Nurse Section of the Association
